We have immediate openings for high school students who want to be part of a team to learn how to manufacture medical components. We are a contract Medical Device Manufacturer with openings in various areas. If you are mechanically adept, a team player and willing to learn, this might be a great opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Guidance will be provided by an experienced manufacturing engineering team in a fast-paced, highly regulated, quality-controlled work environment
  • The co-op will be expected to utilize and develop/strengthen skills in standard test methods, data acquisition and analysis, equipment acquisition, validation and verification efforts, composition of work instruction documentation, statistics , and development of test fixtures
  • This position is meant to provide value to Tegra Medical while giving co-ops exposure to the tools, techniques, and lessons that can only be taught in a collaborative, quality-controlled engineering environment

Qualifications

  • Must be in Junior or Senior year of high school and is attending a vocational High School
  • The candidate must have proficiency in mechanical engineering and/or material science, with strong analytical skills, effective communication skills, and solid problem-solving skills
  • Candidate for Manufacturing/Mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, materials engineering degree
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Strong ability to work independently
  • Mechanical aptitude and analytical skills
  • Good technical communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm and self-motivation to complete projects and tasks
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Software Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work well with all levels of staff from manufacturing personnel to corporate leadership team
  • Must have valid work permit if under 18.
