Tegra Medical is looking for a 2nd Shift - Facilities Housekeeper.

The Facilities Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring that the building is maintained as a welcoming and professional environment. This position will maintain the very highest standard of facilities cleanliness and condition by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean rooms, hallways and corridors, conference rooms, lobbies, restrooms, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
• Replenish supplies, such as cafeteria and bathroom items.
• Wipe down and clean all cafeteria tables, chairs, kitchen surfaces and equipment.
• Keep storage areas clean and tidy.
• Dust and polish furniture, display cases and equipment. Clean and polish metalwork.
• Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors, using brooms, mops or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Vaccuum and/or shampoo rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture.
• Wash windows, door panels and sills, walls, ceilings and woodwork,
• Set-up chairs and tables for meetings and functions as required.
• Duties and responsibility may be added, deleted or revised at any time at the discretion of management.

You have:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years experience as an industrial custodian / housekeeper.
• Experience in a manufacturing facility or in the hospitality industry required.
• Required to frequently lift and/or move 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
• Ability to operate powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Effectively respond to verbal and written instructions.
• Problem solving skills.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Possess a proactive attitude.
• Must be able to work both as an individual contributor as well as be part of a team player.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in potentially adverse weather conditions.
