LASER OPERATOR 2nd SHIFT

Office: Tegra Medical - Hernando
Location: MS

Job Summary

This position has responsibility and authority to perform all laser etch marking functions. Laser etch mark production and/or prototype devices/articles/customer products, stainless steel, titanium and plastic, using standard laser etch marking equipment applying industry standard laser etch marking techniques ensuring that the customer product requirements and Tegra Medical requirements are met while meeting the requirements of the quality policy and quality objective of Tegra Medical ISO 13485 quality management system.

Role and Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities

Perform laser etch marking job assignments as identified on the job router and the accompanying print.

Perform laser etch marking per customer or Tegra Medical specifications as directed by router, print or supervisor.

Maintain laser etch marking equipment as required by preventive maintenance procedures or manufacturer’s manual.

Maintain appropriate laser etch marking supplies.

Determine whether product meets/conforms to the product specifications.

Follow the procedures of the Tegra Medical QMS applicable to this job function.

Follow the applicable customer procedures applicable to this job function and/or specified by the print or router.

Follow Tegra Medical safety and environmental procedures.

Follow written and verbal directions from supervisor.

Perform non-routine task assigned by supervisor and/or management.

Ability to read/interpret blueprints.

Ability to convert metric units to English units and vice versa

Ability to apply basic geometry and advanced shop mathematics Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, whole numbers, fractions and decimals in English and Metric System.

Ability to read work instructions and procedures applicable to this job description

Ability to use most precision measuring tools without assistance.

Ability to setup and run a laser etch equipment with minimal supervision.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form

Education/Qualification/Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. School or equivalent education; 3-5 years experience in laser etch marking, or equivalent combination of education and experience. OR (Trade course certificate from technical school; 3-5 years work experience as a laser etch operator, high school education and experience in laser etch marking of medical devices; or equivalent combination of education and experience.)
