Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Job Summary:

The Shipper/ receiver will be directly responsible for all shipping and receiving activities. This includes ensuring lot integrity of received product and packaging of product for shipment to customers, services providers, and/or other Tegra Medical facilities. Coordinate deliveries using UPS, FedEx, DHL, and other freight providers as necessary. Additional responsibilities include ensuring accuracy of documentation and transacting inventory quantities for receipt of material as well as materials issued to production.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Package, process and ship customer orders in a timely fashion, focusing on accuracy and quality in accordance with all Tegra Medical work instructions and guidelines.
  • Enter all required system transactions as required.
  • Where applicable, maintain part identity, lot/heat, quantity, and integrity.
  • Perform daily receipts of incoming purchased materials and enter associated ERP system transactions.
  • Offloading of incoming materials from delivery trucks.
  • Verify Part Numbers against pack lists prior to shipments
  • Informs manager of any adjustments needed on materials carried in stock.
  • Perform material picks from inventory and enter associated ERP system transactions.
  • Package, process and ship orders to service and sub-contract suppliers.
  • Package orders for intra-company transit.
  • As needed counts, sorts, or weighs incoming materials to verify receipt of items against the packing slip and purchase order.
  • Labels all incoming material with part number, description, quantity, and lot number if applicable.
  • Place received materials in proper inventory locations
  • Perform cycle counts, physical inventories as directed by department manager.
  • This position could be trained to perform any or all shipping, receiving, and material control responsibilities

Level of Skill, Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent and at least three (3) months related experience and/or training is required. Excellent math skills required. Must show independence and be highly autonomous. Adequate computer user skills. Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner. Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative. Ability to work well under pressure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to work occasional overtime.
