Cell Tech I

Office: Franklin, MA 02038
Location: MA

12 HOUR SHIFT: 7:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. THURSDAY, FRIDAY & SATURDAY

Job Summary

Manufacturing Cell Technician II operates production equipment, responsible for manufacturing and assembly of customer products. Follows blueprints, guidelines and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met. Candidate must be very eager and willing to be trained to a higher level of cell competency. Manufacturing Cell Technician II monitors and documents production and reports any inconsistencies or equipment issues following standard procedures. Independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisor/cell leader.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Ability to use all inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, comparator, etc.)
  • Make machine adjustments/offsets with no supervision.
  • Maintains a high standard of quality.
  • Perform inspection(s), monitors and documents inspections and parts run
  • Accurately record and report all pertinent information and labor hours. Strive to maximize efficiency and improve quality.
  • Perform ERP system transactions.
  • Implement continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform Intermediate level maintenance on equipment.
  • Flexible with the ability to change priorities.
  • Comfortable with cross-functional tasks to support a continuously improving environment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work with small diameter parts requiring tight tolerances and high-quality finishes
  • Ability to read blueprints/drawings and follow work instructions
  • Have good mechanical and math aptitude
  • Proficiency with personal computers
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Dependable, efficient and productive work habits
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 5-7 years industrial experience in manufacturing/machine operating.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent performing repetitive work
  • Occasional lifting (max. 40 lbs.)
  • Occasional carrying (max. 40 lbs.)
  • Subject to physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts
  • Constant safety glasses
  • Constant full PPE in clean room
  • Frequent standing
  • Occasional sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching.
